Fast Company, the business media publisher, was hosting its annual Innovation Festival. Since it was going to be remote that year, they hired me to convey the sights, the sounds, the smells of street life in NYC (man, was this assignment right up my alley!). I had just finished scouting street performers and locations with my daughter and we were on our way home when I saw this person in a fabulous house dress and a Betty Rubble wig towing a little red wagon with a guitar case in it. Not knowing who it was or even if they were a performer, I said, “We need to follow them. I have a feeling this is going to be either really great or really terrible.” I was so glad we stayed.
